How I Lost N50 000 To Bet9ja - HayzSays
In case your are wondering what bet9ja is, i’ll tell you, bet9ja is a sport betting company in nigeria, well just another sport betting company trying to reward sports lovers for their passion, or so they say.
Well this story is the story of Chima, A young Nigerian male I met at a sport betting centre, while I should sound that I don’t engage in sport betting simply because I don’t see it worthy, I have so many friends who do, lol and no, Chima is not a friend of mine, he was just a I met and somehow he felt the need to tell me how he lost N50,000 ( fifty thousand naira) to the sport betting company.
He told me the story in pidgin English, but I know not every1 understands it so I will translate to English for you guy, because I love my readers.
So after a day of business in his sister’s shop, he was sent to take the money gotten that day to the bank, as his sister was to rush to attend to other pressing matters, on his way, some evil forces of nature drew his attention to the sport betting centre, seeing the odds and feeling confident, he placed his 1st bet of N5000 (5000!!!bit.ly I mean common, this guy was really a big risk taker), after loosing that, he said to himself, I have N45,000 more so why not, he placed another bet for N7000, of course that went down the drain, he also said he couldn’t stop himself, the more he lost, the more he wanted to place bets and recover his losses, lol "apparently this guy doesn’t know when to quit" I said to myself as he spoke . His unfortunate loosing streak continued until he was left with N4,000 and that was when and I quote him "oboy na that time wey my eye open, I come know say I done fuck up". Dear readers lol if you think his gambling problems is d highlight of this story, wait till u get to the next paragraph.
Ok! Next paragraph, we are here. With all odds against him and the thoughts of what kinda wrath befalls him, he said he got so confused, he went to a nearby construction sight and began to roll in mud, yes folks, mud, why? Well his plan was to convince his sister that he was robbed and the money was stolen, well did his plan work?bit.ly Surprisingly yes it did! I guess his sister loves him too much to care for the money, wonderful woman right? Well Chima said after they let him off the hook, he became angry, as he sat in the toilet and thought to himself "why didn’t I just take all the money for myself and tell them I got robbed, it would have worked anyway"Lol I was amazed at the story as we both laughed at his ordeal and I gave him a few friendly insults, I mean I had to. So after that Chima stood up, walked to the counter to where the placed bets, took out N1,000 from his wallet and placed a bet, while I watched in amazement thinking to myself ans shocked as to how this Chima boy defiled the popular saying of ‘Experience is the best teacher"………. in case you are wondering if he lost that bet, well I am sorry I didn’t stick around long enough to find out, but next time I run into Chima I will ask him. Frankly I hope he wins.
